Current Favourites ♥️

We can't believe we're already into the month of August! Soon it will be Halloween, then Christmas, and before you know it, it will be New Years. Time flies so quickly, it's hard to keep up! Today, we will be sharing the beauty products that we have loved using in the past few months! This post will be divided into two sections so that we can share both of our favorites! Enjoy☺

hourglass, dior, toofaced, marc jacobs, mac, Charlotte Tilbury instant look in a palette: natural beauty

This summer, I love creating bronze-y makeup looks for my everyday routine. Recently, I have been loving the Charlotte Tilbury instant look in a palette: natural beauty. You can easily create an everyday look using this palette since all the eyeshadows are numbered. To finish the eye look, I love using the Diorshow fusion mono in the shade 661 meteore on the center of my eyelid and the Charlotte Tilbury eyes to mesmerise in the color jean for my inner corners. Once these two cream shadows set, they don't crease!

I recently purchased a somewhat new Marc Jacobs eyeliner in the shade ro(cocoa) to use in my waterline and let me tell you, this thing is budge proof! It last for the enter day and I really recommend this if you are looking for a good eyeliner.

I discovered the Diorshow mascara in a beauty insider kit and I instantly fell in love with this mascara. It makes my lashes look like I'm wearing natural flash lashes and adds a lot of length to your lashes. However, to make my lashes voluminous, I use a different mascara. I will definitely repurchase this mascara after it drys out.

I was never really a blush person, but this was because I never found my perfect blush brush. Once I did, I fell love with wearing blush for my everyday looks. I purchased the too faced blush and it was like a match made in heaven when combined with the bronzer.

I always thought that the Hourglass bronzers weren't really special. I didn't see what all the hype was about. But boy was I wrong. The hourglass ambient lighting bronzer is totally awesome!!!! It has a bit of shimmer and it is perfect for all over your face, especially as a bronzer topper. I also love using the Charlotte Tilbury film star bronze and glow to contour, it is really easy to contour your face and brings out your cheek bones with the hourglass bronzer as the topper!!!

I was always skeptical about the Wet 'n' Wild liquid lipstick based on all the reviews I have heard, specifically that it was a dry formula, BUT I can honestly say that it is amazing!!! It drys down completely matte and makes your lip feel a bit powdery. It last all day but if you are eating oily food, this liquid lipstick will not be your friend. It will disappear in a very weird way (the inside will fade away) and that is not a pretty look.

Another thing I have been really loving is just wearing lip liner with a lip balm on top. I was looking through my collection and re fell in love with the MAC lip liner in the color soar.

If you weren't sure about the Huda Beauty 3D highlighter palette and whether it will be good or not, let me tell you that IT IS AWESOME. I don't know how, but it is different and it makes your cheek bone really pop and the color is so unique. It is a pale golden color.

Lately, I've been loving more natural and fresh looks for the summer time, either with a nude lip or a bold pop of colour. I have been using concealer where needed (under-eyes, highlighting the face a bit, etc.), using no foundation, keeping the base matte, and adding lots of highlighter and bronzer to keep the face looking alive and glowy.

For highlight, I have been loving the Ciate Dewy Stix Luminous Highlighting Balm just on the tops of my cheekbones (always before any powders are applied to the face) for a wet looking highlight.  I have also been using the essence pure nude highlighter - which i apply to the top of my cheekbones, my cupids bow, and a little bit on my forehead. It is very natural and adds a beautiful sheen to the skin without being chunky or emphasizing any texture.

For bronzer, these past few months I've been using an oldie but a goodie, the NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in the shade sunny. It gives me a beautifully bronzed look without adding any sheen or shimmer to the face - which I like so that I don't look overly dewy or oily. I have also been applying this to my eyes in the crease because I have not been using any eye shadows.

The blush that I have been reaching for recently is the essence satin touch blush in the shade satin love. It is not too overly pigmented and blends like a dream, while adding a slight radiance to the skin.

For lips, I've been using the wet 'n' wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick in the shade Rebel Rose. On my skin, it is a nude shade with a mauve-y undertone that is perfect for the more natural every day look. Unfortunately, there are a few issues with using this product. I HAVE to exfoliate and use a lip balm before applying it because it has a powdery finish and tends to emphasize the lines on my lips. Additionally, I have to be careful with eating any types of oily foods because they will take the product right off my lips.

For mascara, I've been using and LOVING the new L'Oreal Lash Paradise mascara! I use it on both my upper and lower lashes and for me, it does not transfer onto my lids or under eye area at all and lasts all day. My lashes are very thin and this mascara makes them look very voluminous and lengthy, without being clumpy. This product is 100% worth the hype!

On days where I may use a more bold lip colour, I like to add in some winged eyeliner. For that, I have been using the Tom Ford Eye Defining Liquid Liner Pen. It is definitely on the more expensive side of things, but definitely worth it in my opinion. It is extremely black, matte, and lasts literally ALL day, even on my oily eyelids, making it ideal for the summer time! I use the fine tip to create the wing and then the brush tip to fill everything in, making it easier to create both bold and finer wings.

Finally, I like to finish off my look with a setting spray and for the past month, I have been using the Milani Make It Last Setting Spray. It locks everything in, gets rid of the powdery feel, and makes everything melt in and look like skin. It is the perfect way to finish off a look!

That's all for this post! We hope you enjoyed reading it! Until next time...
